Devin Weitz, 13 years old, releases his debut song and music video, IN THE MOVIES, www.pastudiowest.com A native of Los Angeles, California, Devin Weitz has been singing, dancing and acting most of his young life. Devin is already a veteran of numerous stage productions and is beginning to audition for film, television and commercial roles. Facile in both comedy and drama, and with a high-tenor range ideal for Broadway as well as classic rock, Devin has performed stage roles as Danny Zuko in Grease, Robin in Robin Hood, The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, Little John in Peter Pan, Kurt in The Sound of Music and Mr. Bumble in Oliver! He also played John Lennon, and sung “Revolution,” in the world premiere of The Classic Rock Purim Shpiel at Temple Akiba in Culver City, California. Along with playing trumpet in his school orchestra, Devin is an accomplished piano player who has put his many musical skills to use for many school-based events. In 2009, as lead singer and keyboardist, he led his band, Better Than Beethoven, to win the fifth-grade division of the annual RockSTAR Battle of the Bands, performing Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” at the House of Blues, which they subsequently performed at the Hard Rock CafĂ© and The Grove. In 2010, Devin and a new lineup of the band performed “Crazy Train” at the House of Blues, with Devin in full regalia and makeup as Ozzy Osbourne!
