Stone Temple Pilots (STP) – Plush (Live 1997)

Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated to STP, is an American rock band from San Diego, CA that consists of Scott Weiland (lead vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion). Core, certified 8× platinum by the RIAA, drove the band to popularity.[2] STP went on to become one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1990s, selling nearly 40 million records worldwide including 17.5 million units in the United States,[4] before their dissolution in 2003. The band’s early hard rock, grunge-reminiscent style of music found them immediate success in 1992 with the release of their debut album Core. Further releases from the band have shown a variety of influences, and as such the band is considered to transcend the genre barrier. After Weiland’s five-year stint as the frontman of Velvet Revolver and the DeLeo brothers’ involvement with the Army of Anyone project, Stone Temple Pilots reunited in April 2008 with a successful 71-date tour and the band’s eponymous sixth studio album was released on May 25, 2010. STP’s sound is considered a blending of modern alternative rock and hard rock of the 1970s, creating a form of arena rock.[39] While Core and Purple resembled a strong grunge-inspired sound, later albums would include elements of psychedelic rock, glam rock, and bossa nova. Dean DeLeo’s trademark guitar sound is considered to be “crunchy” and especially distorted.

Santa Cruz, CA Public Access “HARD ROCK TV” interviews PETER STEELE – TYPE O NEGATIVE in 1997 pt.1

+++RIP PETER+++( Dont forget to watch part 2) “back in the day” there used to be a wonderful public access show called “Hard Rock Television” here in the Santa Cruz County. the host… the “Ice Princess” would VJ all kinds of videos from bands all over the world.Requests were taken, and My good friend & I had flooded the show with requests, and almost all of them were played. She didnt do many interviews, but when she did she chose well. Here is the almost NEVER seen interview with Peter Steele during the October Rust Tour in 1997. They played all of their Videos, but Warner Music Group doesnt want you to be able to see them. they actually blocked my upload when i still had them included, so here it is with ALL MUSIC VIDEOS CUT OUT (so hopefully WMG doesn’t try to claim they own the rights to Peter’s voice while talking, especially when it was on PUBLIC ACCESS!!)
