Pasting from the band’s MySpace page:

Unfortunately the Torch has called it quits for now, we are all on good terms but felt that it was time to move on. Keep an ear out for various side projects etc, we all have plans to continue the rock in different forms so just hold tight.

Cracktorch formed in 1996 as a side project for Quintaine Americana (Roadrunner Records) bassist Marc Schleicher and The Vehicle Birth (crank! Records) guitarist Chris Jackson. Cracktorch soon became full time as they found themselves playing with heavyweights Queens of the Stone Age, Mission of Burma and the Murder City Devils. Based on their sonic live show, Cracktorch was selected as a wild card in the 2001 WBCN Rock & Roll Rumble. The band breezed through to the finals converting the press and hundreds of fans along the way. Their album, "Cracktorch …is not the problem" (Curve Of The Earth Records) received critical acclaim including 6 Nominations at the 2002 Boston Music Awards and taking home the award for “Best Hard Rock Band of the Year”. The album “…is not the problem” was subsequently licensed to Lunasound Recordings (Supersuckers,Roadsaw) for worldwide distribution. Recording sessions soon began to fulfill numerous compilation requests, most notably with Paul Q. Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies, Hole). The year was rounded out road testing material for a new album & was chosen to appear in a nationwide ad campaign for Sure Microphones. In 2003 Cracktorch recorded their follow-up album, “Tonight The City”, with Grammy Award nominated producer Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Blue Man Group). Through stubborn resourcefulness and DIY attitude, Cracktorch will not take no for an answer.

This is a great song, hope you enjoy it as much as I am ! Hes been waiting around for the weekend Figuring which club to sneak in Fancy drinks and fifty-dollar cover charge Lately its been a big hassle Heineken and New Castle To make sure hes fitting in and living large Disregard the lies that he will tell and what hes probably like ’cause It’s not hard his charm is gonna Get him through the night If he wanna rock he rocks If he wanna roll he rolls He can roll with the punches Long as he feels like hes in control If he wanna stay he stays If he wanna go he goes He doesnt care how he gets there Long as he gets somewhere he knows oh no ah na na na na na na na na na na na ah na na na na na na na na na na na See her heavy make up and cut t-shirt Every girl out wants to be her But they look the same already why adjust Reading the magazine secrets Forget the topical regrets ‘Cause If she comes home all alone the nights a bust Its a must the swivel in her hips And the look she gives Its all her trust if only in the morning She knew where she lived ‘Cause If she wanna rock she rocks If she wanna roll she rolls She can roll with the punches Long as she feels like shes in control If she wanna stay she stays If she wanna go she goes She doesnt care how she gets there Long as she gets somewhere she knows oh no ah na na na na na na na na na na na ah na na na na na na na na na na na And in a wink theyre on the brink From drink to drink and at the bar With cash to blow From shot to shot

Houses the most valuable pieces of memorabilia in Hard Rock’s collection.

Stored inside are costume and guitar worn and used by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash in the video for "November Rain" from the early 90s, Madonna’s bustier from her 1990 Blonde Ambition Tour plus one of her old credit cards, the first ever guitar owned by Sex Pistols’ guitarist Glen Matlock – on which he came up with the riffs for their huge punk anthem "Anarchy In The UK" a western-style shirt worn by the inimitable Keith Moon of The Who from the 1970s, and lastly, the harpsichord used by The Beatles to record "All You Need Is Love",and & "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" from the 1967 album "Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band".
